OK - isn't proof reading the same as copywriting? Or editing....
For a website, copywriting is really the hard work of coming up with effective words to advertise & promote your products, services and your brand. Editing is putting those words onto the appropriate pages. Page design can be considered as complimentary to editing - laying the text out attractivelly, or emphasising certain aspects, adding useful or attractive visual devices (photos, animation, videos, flash - etc).
This is all somethign website owners often do themselves - however we do reccomend and also provide professional copywriting services. We also think it is worthwhile to have someone else proofread your pages - To illustrate this, there are a number of deliberate errors on this page, how many can you find?
So - proof reading ....how do you personally feel when you are on a website and you can see errors in spelling and grammer? Not that impressed I am sure, after all if they can't take the time to do their website properly (which is a shop window to the entire world), what does that say about their probable after sales service and quality assurance?
However it is easier said than done to make sure your website is free of this type of error. Often we are rushed, or just too close to the text.
Whatever the reason, we can supply a simple soltion - use a professional and qualified proof reader who will not only check all the pages you want proofed, but for small extra charge they will also update your pages*
Simple as that.
