The client is a major NZ manufacturer and required a new website to bring together their 4 companies and allow them to manage the content themselves.
The client also needed a way to display their many hundreds of products and distributors - but without the effort & cost normally required to build a webpage for each product - see the

"G D Rutter has been operating as a wholesaler of hardware products into the New Zealand market for over 90 years. We supply all major retailers including Bunning's, Mitre 10 NZ, Mega, PlaceMakers, ITM, Carters and many other stores.

Simply Good Websites built the website according to a fixed design specification supplied by the client.
The main point of interest is that our Product Display generator now enables the client to rebuild every product and category page on the fly, with just a couple of mouse clicks - from a simple spreadsheet exported from their in house accounting system. At the same time a new dynamic menu is generated to provide clear navigation to every product/category.
We also adapted the Product Display Generator to similarily display their entire distributor list geographicaly, checkout the distributor and product buttons here.
This feature has saved the client mega-bucks and has also had the pleasant side effect of making it easy for them to find and correct errors within the in house accounting system. |
